Valentine's Day is fast approaching and you know what that means... hearts everywhere! Haha. Most people hate this day, but I have to say, even in my single days, I loved Valentine's Day. It is such a feminine day, with sweets, heart shaped anything & lots of pink! No matter if you have someone to celebrate with or you just have a fun girls night planned, make the most of the Hallmark holiday & have some fun!

We created the sweetest (no pun intended) little goodie bags for our friends & family. We came up with some cute sayings & designed some packaging labels to close the bags. With the help of some yummy sweets, a printer, clear small bags, staples & some cute ribbon we were all set!

Brika had a pop-up shop at Yorkdale mall & I swooned over everything in it! This was one of a few cards I had picked up. Ian if you're looking at this, spoiler alert, that's for you. ;)

You can download our labels right here & print them for your loved ones! If you use them, we want to see! Tag us on Instagram @prettypaperlove.

We cannot believe the holidays are here & we have no snow. It doesn't seem real? Christmas always needs snow, just a childhood wish that will never get old.

To make it feel like Christmas is tomorrow you have to start baking these amazing cookies, NOW! Seriously they're the best cookies we've ever had & cannot get enough of them.

White Chocolate Peppermint Pudding Cookies

- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract (or real vanilla if you have it on hand)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 small package vanilla pudding mix
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup crushed peppermints or candy canes (Bulk Barn carries crushed peppermints)

1.  Cream together butter & sugar
2. Beat in dry instant pudding mix
3. Add eggs & vanilla, mix well
4. Add baking soda & flour, mix well
5. Stir in peppermints & white chocolate chips
6. Roll into 1" balls & place on a lined baking sheet (or a greased baking sheet)
7. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.

Makes 3 dozen cookies.

These cookies do not disappoint & they're perfect for last minute gifts if you are lucky to have extra!

Happy a great holiday everyone & Merry Christmas! (We're still dreaming up snow)

Less than a week until Christmas!!!!! Ok I know Michelle said that yesterday, but common, this is the time of year everyone is franticly running around, trying to figure out what to get their loved ones. Sometimes it's nice to get something homemade. You know tons of thought & creativity was put into the gift. We all love mason jars, so I researched a bit & found some awesome DIY gifts all stored in a beautiful glass jar. Click the photos for instructions on how to make.

Whether this is a gift, or for yourself, these DIY mason jar snow globes are great! They're perfect for keeping around your house during the holidays.

I love this idea! Who doesn't love a good body scrub? Plus homemade? Yes please!

Both of these are super easy & cute! Perfect for coworkers or a party favour.

Great for friends or stocking stuffers. The homemade tags add a nice touch too.

For any guy.

Do they just want a gift card, but you want to wrap it creatively? Problem solved. This is such a smart idea.

Hope we solved some gift ideas for you! Let us know your fave. Now get out there for your LAST weekend to shop before the big day!

Christmas is in one week! Can you believe that!? It sure did sneak up on me but I am so excited & not to mention...broke. This year I discovered I have an addiction to ribbon. I collect many different styles, sizes & patterns. I seem to have accumulated more christmas ribbon this year, than I ever have. I also discovered that wrapping gifts can get more & more elaborate because I keep finding more & more things to add on.

I take a lot of time wrapping my gifts, mainly for the creative aspect, but also for the look on peoples faces when they receive a gift from me. Some don't even want to open it because they love the wrapping so much. I love making their gift that much more special.

First things first, I use brown kraft paper to wrap gifts. This gives me free range to add on whatever I want. You can easily use just kraft paper & the perfect ribbon, but I like to step it up a bit by adding paper doilies, seasonal stamps, bells & ornaments.

I love the white doilies because they resemble snow flakes & add a feminine touch to the wrapping. This year I have been swooning over plaids, deers & earthy themed anything. So it seemed suiting to add that in to my wrapping, with a touch of glitter.

These looks so perfect under the Christmas tree. I hope this post inspires you to get creative with your gifts. One week of shopping left for all those last minuters! Get going!!

We have been working hard on our christmas lists, shopping & wrapping. Such a busy season & we are so excited for the new year! It's going to bring us...& you lots of new stuff. Change is good right? Our plans for the new year are going to be announced soon, so stay tuned! But in the mean time check out some of these cute gift tags & matching cards designed by Charlotte & myself.

Plaid, deers, gold & glitter is too perfect for this season! Charlotte did an amazing job with these pieces!! I can't wait to see them on the finished wrapped gift!

Candy canes are my favourite treat around christmas. So they were definitely my inspiration for gift tags & cards. I am obviously adding some silver glitter when I wrap my gifts!
