So as you've heard, I moved to England, working part-time and cheering my boyfriend on while he plays hockey for the Guildford Flames.

When I was getting ready to move to here, I was SO excited! Nothing else was on my mind and I could hardly wait to get off the plane and explore this beautiful country.

I created this packing list to help make sure I wouldn't forget a thing. I made it about a month before I had to leave haha. I just wanted to leave right away!

We cannot believe the holidays are here & we have no snow. It doesn't seem real? Christmas always needs snow, just a childhood wish that will never get old.

To make it feel like Christmas is tomorrow you have to start baking these amazing cookies, NOW! Seriously they're the best cookies we've ever had & cannot get enough of them.

White Chocolate Peppermint Pudding Cookies

- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract (or real vanilla if you have it on hand)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 small package vanilla pudding mix
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup crushed peppermints or candy canes (Bulk Barn carries crushed peppermints)

1.  Cream together butter & sugar
2. Beat in dry instant pudding mix
3. Add eggs & vanilla, mix well
4. Add baking soda & flour, mix well
5. Stir in peppermints & white chocolate chips
6. Roll into 1" balls & place on a lined baking sheet (or a greased baking sheet)
7. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.

Makes 3 dozen cookies.

These cookies do not disappoint & they're perfect for last minute gifts if you are lucky to have extra!

Happy a great holiday everyone & Merry Christmas! (We're still dreaming up snow)

I spent this past weekend prepping my house inside & out for Christmas. Adding sparkle, tinsel & twinkle lights sure do get you in the holiday spirit. This post is inspired by my festive prepping weekend & my love for well styled homes. Now how cozy is this living room? The cottage feel of the fire place & wooden accents have me swooning over every little detail.

Adding lights to a cute painted canvas is such a great idea to brighten the room up & add some festive feelings. This looks like it would be an easy DIY if you're crafty. Hmmm... I may have to try this.

I am a sucker for twinkle lights so I found this idea to be so romantic looking for the holidays. It reminds me of stargazing, but inside. Super cute idea!

Adding cheerful pillows to your couches/bed is an easy & simple way to bring the holidays into a room without going to town on the decorations. Another great DIY idea.

Natural garland & earthy tones is a great alternative to the traditional cherry red & sparkly look to the holidays. I love how soft & organic this look is.

It's all in the details. I love this place setting idea. Such a simple project, but adds so much to a holiday table.

White, white & more white! I believe you can never have enough white while decorating for the holidays. I love the snow so why not mimic that inside with white trees & white decorations? Such a clean, elegant look.

Adding props or even ornaments to your outdoor decorations can really be inviting.

Having a theme around your house not only make decorating easier, but it ties every room together. I love this theme of using the deer.

If you're more of a simple straight forward decorator, adding pillows & a wreath to your bedroom may be just enough to get you into the spirit & keep that cozy feel.

Happy decorating :)

Some of you may think it's a bit early to think of stocking stuffers, but I'm telling you, YOU'RE WRONG! Guys, Christmas is 36 days away. 36 DAYS AWAY! Time to get your butts to the mall & start those shopping lists. The malls get crazy this time of year, you really want to get all that fun stuff outta the way.

Below you will find some fun, easy ideas for stocking stuffers for the his & hers in your life.

The air is crisp, the leaves are colourful & scarves have been pulled out! Fall is here & I couldn't be more excited for boot & sweater season. Fall is definitely in the running for my favourite season. It's just so hard to pick between fall & summer; they go 50-50.

Anyways, I've pulled together 10 things everyone should be doing this fall with their spare time. Take a peak & let me know what is on the top of your list!

Seems pretty basic, but have you done it yet? I've talked about doing it forever & I think I've maybe done it once. So I'm definitely putting this on my list of to do's this fall.

Soup is probably my favourite food...besides pizza. I'm obsessed with it & I can eat it almost all year round, but in fall it's my absolute favourite meal to have. Making soup can be quite easy & healthy! That's a great thing about it. You can throw in all the vegetables in your fridge & make up a delicious concoction. I stumbled across an apple cheddar soup over at our friend Amanda's blog & it sounds so yummy. I will be making this soup hands down! Click the photo for the recipe.

If you buy your pumpkins at a grocery store shame on you! Head a bit to the country & pick your own. You'd be surprised at how many colours & different sizes are out there, plus all the other fun activities they have at most farms for the young & old.

Sure putting a silly or scary face on your pumpkin is fun, but why not try something different this year? Michelle & I like to mix things up every year! See below last years fun take on decorating.

My boyfriend & I went apple picking this year already! Trust me on this one, you want to go. The apples are so juicy & flavourful. We even ended up baking a pie. My first pie! I think it was a big add that to the list too!

There's nothing like a hot summer fire, but have you had a fall fire yet? Go get toasty by a fire outside and indulge in some treats too! Time to bring out those cozy sweaters & comfy socks. Invite some friends/family over to have a fun night in the backyard.

With the winter months approaching, set up shop inside. Collect all your summer photos & start creating a scrapbook. I have a weakness for scrapbooks! Invite some friends over & do it together. Don't forget the wine. :)

Why don't you learn something new this fall? Look into classes in your area & see what interests you. Whether it's a new workout class or something to enhance your education, it'll be fun! I've always wanted to learn the craft of calligraphy. Click the photo below for a helpful website on the basics of calligraphy.

These are just too good to be true. Simple, yummy & not bad for you. Click the photo for a recipe. Don't forget to add your favourite spices or some herbs for a fresh taste!

The best for last. Now that it's cold, bath time is here! I love my baths & I LOVE adding bath bombs. They always make your bath smell divine & leave my skin silky smooth, plus the ones with sparkles always make me feel like a kid at heart. The only downside to bath bombs are that they can get pricey! So why not try & make homemade ones? Click the photo to see how you can make your own.

Which are you going to do first? Let us know in the comments below. Happy fall everyone!
